Why it was a personal success:

Robes & Wrinkles was the first large scale project I had been a part of, starting from a small idea with a group of friends and eventually becoming a fully released game. Developing this game has offered me many oppurtunities to learn and grow outside of my core skillsets, from showcasing to the general public in several large venues to pitching face to face with publishers in London.

During development, I was able to learn new skills such as custom shaders and procedural dungeon generation which became core features of our game. Alongside this, I had the oppurtunity to wear and use motion capture suits which led to me being responsible for retargeting the animations and bringing them into the game engine.

Outside of core development, I was able to learn from others who had similiar skillsets and was even able to make several friends from different teams during our residential placement in Dundee.

Robes & Wrinkles was an idea, an idea which receieved funding, showcased at events, given a spot in a competitive residential and then gained a peoples choice award during Develop:Brighton 2025 before being released on Steam. This game was a personal success due to the experience I gained working within a team and overcoming the many challenges development can have.
